These images all come from or relate to my art project/zine/book, Sidewalk Superfoods. The book has branched into sign installations, prints, stickers and wheatpastes. It's been expanded from 22 to 44 pages, and the second edition also takes the alternative form of a card deck.

Its idea is that we're overlooking the vast resource that is our wild plants- resilient and abundant, requiring no human tending. All we need to benefit from the nutritional and medicinal values of these raw, organic, non-gmo superfoods is a little knowledge and foraging effort.

I see education around these plants as something that, flourishing in the midst of crisis like homelessness, food deserts, factory farming and the overuse of dangerous pharmaceuticals- in our city and across our country- could be a small part of the antidote.
